Adopt a Domestic Medium Hair (medium coat)

Hi there everyone! 

My name is Mr.Cheeks to the world, in home I get called Chuck. Either one suites me really. At one point in time I was tossed outside by a human to fend for myself. While I was living on the streets I got into an altercation with another cat who ended up giving me FIV. It’s doesn’t bother me really, I just need an owner who is willing to take me to see the vet for routine visits to make sure I stay happy and healthy.

With proper introductions I get along with other animals. I tend to stay away from the dogs in my foster home because let’s be real... they’re filthy animals. I don’t mind the other cat I live with, we get along. He does his thing and I do mine.

I’m a secret lover to be honest. I don’t like to be smothered with attention but if you were to say fall asleep on the couch I would most likely take a nap with you while you’re not seeing my soft side.

I 150% love me some canned food. I prefer pate and I get 1/4 of a can every morning. I wait outside my foster moms bedroom until she wake up and I follow her to the kitchen. I get pretty vocal when I’m hungry.

I’m highly food motivated, so if you have food out I’m going to attempt to each it. I’m a notorious counter surfer. I put up a fuss when I get my nails trimmed and I absolutely need to learn better hygiene manners for myself. Mom is constantly brushing me so I don’t get mats because it’s inevitable with how little I groom myself.

Sometimes I miss being outdoors very much and if I don’t get regular exercise on a cat harness in the yard I will try to escape at every opportunity that presents itself. Foster mom catches me lingering by the sliding door when she lets the dogs outside.

I tolerate a lot... including her dressing me up. For Halloween I was a shark... next thing I know I have a raincoat for winter and a winter holiday sweater.
